Elie Alleman, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Magnolia Estates in Lafayette.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Gertie Alleman; two sons, Earl Alleman and his wife, Brenda and Elmo Alleman and his wife, Cheryl; four grandchildren, Stephanie Alleman Miguez, Jennifer Alleman Walters, Matthew Alleman and Marcus Alleman; eleven great grandchildren; one sister Laura May Alleman; and one brother Dercy Alleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Baltazare Alleman and Amelia Thibodeaux Alleman; and eleven brothers and sisters.

A native of Acadia Parish, and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for most of his life, Mr. Alleman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Acadiana, and Magnolia Estates for their kindness and gentle care given to Mr. Alleman during his time of need.
