TWO AGED MEN TAKEN- JOHN M. TAYLOR FELL
Seneca lost Herman Bueltel 2:00 o'clock this morning and John M. Taylor near 5:00 o'clock. Both were long residents of this community. Mr. Beulter was 82 years of age just last Friday and Mr. Taylor would have been 90 years old the 11th of next May.

Mr. Taylor's death was from a fall. He has had a room at the K. M. Schnider home. It is undetermined the aged man was moving about as the lights were flickering from the storm. He fell down a stairs, suffering a severe laceration of the scalp and a concussion. His heart, which had troubled him for some time, could not stand the strain.

Complete information could not be learned this morning but sketches of Mr. Taylor's life in the files of the Courier-Tribune show he was born May 11, 1851 in McDonough county, Illinois; that he came to Kansas with his father, mother, and a sister in 1866. They were met at Atchison by Jim Taylor, a brother of John, who had come to Kansas earlier and homesteaded at Old Lincoln. With the coming of more member of his family, Jim built a home north of Seneca where the family lived for a time. Then John Taylor's family moved into Washington township and took up with Bob Nelson, A. J. Felt and Jim Parsons, began the pioneer town of Taylor's Rapids.

John M. Taylor was twice elected as Nemaha county register of deeds. He was a staunch Democrat, but as a man who placed high value on friendships, it was a great pleasure to him that he was supported by many Republicans.

Mr. Taylor was married to Ruth E. Amos, who preceded him in death July 13, 1934. They had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

There five children are: Mrs. R. A. Meek of Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs. Florence Hanson, Shoshone, Idaho; John G. at Fresno, California; Earl A. of Belleville and J. E. Taylor, Corning. The children in Idaho and California had not been heard from at noon but the service is tentatively planed for 10:00 o'clock Thursday morning at the Lauer Funeral Home, followed by burial at Kansas City, Kansas by the side of his wife.
