Doris Marie Byrne Murray (Nov. 16, 1926 – Dec. 4, 2020)
Beloved Mom, Doris Murray, originally from Annandale, VA, went on to her heavenly home to meet her Lord and Savior on Dec. 4, peacefully, in her Vienna, VA home. She was a homemaker, excellent cook, mother to six children, and had been a child of God for 75 years. She was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus by playing piano for Children's church, at formerly Bible Baptist Church in Annandale, only missing 2 services in 45 years. She loved animals and birds and was compassionate, and always had a kind countenance. Her favorite verse was Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Mom was a faithful prayer warrior.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Claude Byrne and Florence Byrne, her husband of 64 years, Charles H. Murray, and her son, Donald Charles Murray.
She is survived by three daughters: Sandra (Benny) Hash of Wauchula, FL; Patricia (Lee) Farris of Vienna, VA; Donna (Jimmy) Cozart, of Manassas, VA; and two sons: Michael Lee Murray of Broadway, VA; and Arthur Lynn
Murray, of Boston, VA, and four grandchildren: Angela Noelle Murray and Michael L. Murray, Jr., of Mesa, AZ; Andrew Ryan Cozart and Joshua Charles (deceased) Cozart, of Manassas, VA.
Graveside services will be held at National Memorial Cemetery, Falls Church, VA, on Thursday, Dec. 10, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in her honor to: Our Daily Bread Ministries, P.O.
