Randall Gene Craig, 72, born January 8, 1948 passed away December 8, 2020. Randall went to Shelby County High School. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He walked point with his loyal dog Eric, 1967-68. He was member of the 38th Scout Dog Platoon. He received various medals : Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, and 2 overseas bars.

He married Betty Gregory on December 12, 1970 in Eminence, KY. They were married 50 years. He was a carpenter with perfection and always provided for his family. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, pitching horseshoes with his brothers and friends. He was also a huge UK Wildcat fan.

He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Wyatt Craig of Frankfort.

He is survived by his wife Betty Craig, of Cropper; two daughters: Julie Bowles and Tammy Risky (David) of Pleasureville; mother: Anna Lou Mullins of Cropper; two brothers: Ronnie Craig (Mary) of Shelbyville, and Allen Craig (Kelly) of Cropper; one sister: Sheila Davidson of Cropper; four grandsons: Damon Scott Bowles II, Tristan Bowles, Michah Risky, Maddox Risky and several nieces and cousins.

Services are private. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is in charge of arrangements.
