She was born in San Francisco on Nov. 14, 1960 to Louis Walter and Margaret Fleischer.

She spent three years of her childhood in Atlanta, Ga. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Belmont, Calif., in 1979 and went to the College of San Mateo where she earned an Associate of Arts degree.
After many years of living in the county of San Mateo, Amy moved to Mariposa, where she continued working as a cashier for Vons in Oakhurst.

She was a Christian woman hosting meetings at her home and participating in meetings in her community.

Because of the Covid crisis, a funeral service will be held on Dec. 11, but limited to her immediate family. She will be interred in Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst.
After finishing school she worked at Longs Drug Store, as a cashier and then she later carried on her career as a cashier at Safeway, both in San Mateo.
