Son of Antonino Chiofalo and Girolama "Mamie" Ardito.

Beloved husband to Josephine LoCasio (Married Feb 20 1943 in NY)

Loving father to Theresa Chiofalo Lang and Christopher Joseph Chiofalo.

Joseph Thomas Chiofalo was a WWII Vet. Landed on Omaha Beach, Normandy on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) as a US Army Medic. Received the Silver Star (Very Rare for an enlisted man) and Purple Heart (wounded in Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge - spent the last few months of the war in a hospital in England). Also received an award from the French government. He saved hundreds of American soldiers lives including the Captain of his unit and some Germans. He told me there are no atheists in combat and about 100 men died in his arms.
