Judy Kay Harmon, 69, of Vermontville, died peacefully on January 21, 2017.

Judy was born on March 30, 1947, in North Street, Michigan, the daughter of Oscar and Barbara (Puffer) Dean. Judy was a very fun loving gal and was a lover of horses, who dreamed of a "field of yellow," a field of Palomino horses. She boarded horses, as well as, having five of her own, which contributed to her membership in 4-H. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and encouraged many of them to ride. Many of her children and grandchildren rode in the "Young Riders" 4-H Club, spreading her love of horses to several generations, enriching her family's life. Her family remembers her big heart, loaning horses to many kids to make sure they had a horse to show and ride. Judy was also passionate about hand quilting, and her dogs.

Judy was proud of her kids and grandkids, and invested in their lives. She kept mini bikes and go carts at her place, and all the kids would want to go to Grandma's and drive in the pasture. Judy was a great friend to many, and will be missed by all.

Judy is survived by her seven children, Karen Harmon, Wayne (Julee) Harmon, Karl Harmon, Donald (Jaimie) Emenhiser, Michele (Scott) Snyder, Rebecca (Arnold) Dolman, and Barbara (Steven) Emenhiser; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theo Harmon.

Memorial Services are planned for January 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Pray Funeral Home, with Reverend Marc S. Livingston officiating. Visitation will be held January 25, 2017, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Eaton County 4-H MSU Extension Office - HDC.

The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte.
