Johnny Rawlings

Johnny Rawlings, 76, of Lake of the Pines, formerly of Sweetwater, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at Linden Municipal Hospital in Linden.

He was born March 13, 1927, in Colorado City and married Betty Foust April 21, 1959, in Sweetwater. He worked as a vinyl hanger, hanging vinyl for walls such as Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was also a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Rawlings of Lake of the Pines; one son, Johnny Lee Rawlings of Palestine; one daughter, Lisa Campbell and husband Lark of Sweetwater; two step-daughters, Patricia Luevano and husband Daniel and Joanna Stevens and husband Randal, all of Sweetwater; one step-son, Ricky Reed and wife Patricia of Sweetwater; two brothers, Leon "Cotton" Rawlings and Lee Rawlings and wife Sue, all of Sweetwater; one sister-in-law, Louise Rawlings of Sweetwater; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wyley and Lourie B. Rawlings; and one sister, Edith Lawhon.
