Bobby Joe Walker, or “Misky”, was born on November 9th, 1958 in Tahlequah, OK, the son of William Paul Rogers and Virginia Walker. Misky grew up in a household with six brothers and three sisters, Carolyn, Jimmy Ray, Buck, Gary, Roberta, Marvin, Martin, Tina, and Dennis. He attended school at Sequoyah and then decided he wanted to work construction. He would work most of his life building pole barns and doing construction. When he wasn’t working, he could be found heading to the nearest fishing hole, often in the company of his canine companion, Maggie Mae. He liked to play pool and go to the casino. He possessed the gift of gab, and could make friends with anyone almost anywhere. He was friendly, funny and made people laugh no matter the circumstances. Whenever you stopped by his house, he wanted to feed you something. A Christian by faith, he attended the Church of Christ and also the Stokes Smith Stomp ground. The joy of his life was his children, he had one son, Jeremy Hulbutta and three daughters, Misty McCoy, Amber Walker, and Brittney Mason. He also had two stepsons, Jay Billie and Ran Billie. He enjoyed time spent with his kids and grandkids, sharing a holiday or just a visit. He also liked time spent with his companion of 21 years, Lucy Billie.
