80 years old, Mike was born in East Liverpool on June 9, 1940, to the late Paul and Nettie McCardle Walton.
Mike loved the outdoors, he was an avid runner, cyclist, and rock climber. He had been involved with the Pegasus Track Club since it’s inception, and he was a member of the Pioneer Road Runners Club. He had competed in and finished three marathons. Mike served in Vietnam with the US Army, and he was a 1958 graduate of East Liverpool High School.
A union worker, Mike retired from the Communication Workers of America, and earlier was a service technician with Ohio Bell and then AT&T.
Mikes surviving family members are his daughter, Traci (Joe) Reese of Calcutta, his son, Mark (Deborah) Walton of East Liverpool, his grandchildren, Allison Reese, and Ashley Walton, and his great-grandchildren, Austin Holmes, and Madyson, and Brooklyn McCready.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Shawn Walton, and his brother, Craig Walton.
In fulfilling Mike’s wishes, no services are planned. The Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester is assisting his family with these arrangements. 12-9-2020
