Billy Jack Collins, 79, of Elizabethton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. A lifelong resident of Carter County, Jack was the youngest son of Spurgeon Collins and Bessie Pierce Collins. He was a 1960 graduate of Unaka High School. He retired from Inland Container. He was of the freewill baptist faith. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially Christmas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his youngest son: Timmy Alan Collins, two brothers: Floyd & Dewey Collins, three sisters: Jeroldine Collins, Virginia Collins and Ann Deloach.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years: Glenda Shepherd Collins, daughter Toni & husband John Lash, Elizabethton, Billy Jack Collins, II & wife Stephany, Erwin, TN. Two sisters: Margie Lewis & husband C.H. and Wilma Nave & husband Ronnie. Eleven grandchildren: Mickey Lash & wife Karissa, Ashley & husband George Williams, Lauren Collins, Brooklyn Collins, Randi Fox-Collins of the home, Hayden Collins, Kaleb Collins, Kayla Jones & Brian Bowen, Megan Jones & Brett Whitson, John Lash and Chris Lash. Eight great-grandchildren: Justice & Bradley Lash, Darian & Corbin Lash, Lillie Lash, Thomas Williams, Madi Bowen and Colson Benfield. Two special nieces, Barbara Shaw and Angie Deloach and a special cousin Betty Edwards. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A heartfelt Thank You to the wonderful nurses from Amedisys who took great care of Jack for the last few months.

It was Jack's wishes to be cremated.

A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made out to Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
