He was born March 5, 1948 in Tatum to the late George Benjamin and Glatha Fay (Martin) Jennings.
He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, during which he suffered wounds.
He was also a truck driver for his brother.
George also broke horses in Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, and several siblings.
He is survived by a nephew, Dennis Jennings of Kilgore; a daughter, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family burial at Tatum Cemetery.
