Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman with Pastor James Morgan officiating. Friends may meet the family from 9:30 am - 11 am Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Processing Center, P.O. Dan, known by family and friends as "Farmer Dan" was born on April 24, 1943 in St. Joseph, the son of the late Nelson and Martha (Nitz) Schultz. He and his family operated Twin Oaks Farms in Baroda Township. Dan married Mellierose Sassman on April 25, 1964. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Baroda and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his beloved wife: Mellie; his daughter: Dawn (Ronald) Knuth; sons: Daniel (Sonya) Schultz II and Douglas (Wendy) Schultz; brother: David (Joyce) Schultz; sister: Karen (Ken) Seifert; eight grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

Daniel Craig Schultz at his request in 2019 asked if he could be buried at the Boyle family cemetery on the family farm that they purchased from the Boyle's.
Oronoko Township at the time did not know the cemetery existed.
They checked with the state of Michigan and were told that Daniel could be buried in Boyle's.
This is a private cemetery on private land so if you want to visit please contact the Schultz family first.
