YORK - Melissa J. (Mock) Bowers, 45, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her residence in W. Manchester Township. She was the wife of Jason A. Bowers to whom she was married for 25 years.
A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 5-8PM at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Born December 8, 2020 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Delbert H. and Barbara A. (Caskey) Mock.
She was employed with Rutter's for the past several years.
An avid camper who was passionate about spending time outdoors in the mountains of Northern Pa, she also enjoyed motocross races, snowmobiling, sprint car racing and was a member of Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Assoc. She was a Baltimore Ravens fan, loved horses and dolphins, enjoyed bingo with her mother-in-law and over the years collected 982 shot glasses.
In addition to her husband, Melissa is also survived by a son, Stanton A. Bowers of York; grandson, Landyn Reid; three sisters, Darla Nimmon and husband, Tim of Gettysburg, Deb Himes and husband, Ed of Aspers and Carol Bower and husband, Doug of Biglerville; mother and father-in-law, Algean M. and Barry L. Bowers and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly S. Arnsberger.
