LOUISE WILLIAMS
Funeral Services for Louise Billie Williams 57, Coos Bay, Oregon, will be held Tuesday June 4, 1991 11am at Coos Bay Chapel. Graveside services to follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery Coos Bay.
She was born April 1, 1934, in North Bend to Alice E Morrison-Armacost and William C Day and died at her home May 30, 1991 in Coos Bay. She was born on her Grandfather Morrison's birthday and was the first of 3 grandchildren that he ever got to see.
She graduated from Marshfield in 1952 and was a lifetime resident of Coos Bay. Prior to graduating high school her mother Alice started ALAR Ceramics Studio. AL stood for Alice and Louise and AR stood for Armacost.
When Jesse Armacost, her step father learned of the name he pointed out that their was a word ALAR which stood for "Winged one" and they immediately flew into their new business and continued for 30 years. They held ceramic classes and together produced many beautiful works of art. They were both very talented artists.
On Sept 17, 1960 she married the late Billy Leroy Williams who passed away in 1982.
Louise was also a outstanding gardener. Her airtum was always filled with beautiful and colorful flowers, she also loved to weave baskets from the local grasses, she was a excellent seamstress and tailor, she was very talented artist painting many thing and could do most anything she put her mind too.
Survivors include her sister Mary Alice, a Brother Gary, daughter Gloria Huntley, Nanci Breedlove, her step children Beverly Walter and Bruce Williams, Uncles, Aunts, nieces, nephews and Cousin's.
