Janet M. Black, formerly of East Orange, N.J., died peacefully Friday night, Dec. 4, 2020, at Colonial Courtyard at Bedford.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Amos G. and M. Alberta (Walter) Black.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including; Jerre Black of Claysburg, Clair Black of Bedford, Patty Lohr of Jacksonville, Fla., Irma Bowser of Osterburg and Janet Ritchey of Osterburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Black, a sister, Dora Ickes and a nephew, Larry Ickes.
Janet was a graduate of Claysburg High School and a 1949 graduate of Shippensburg State Teacher’s College.
She taught business education for 32 years at Clifford Scott High School New Jersey and also taught three years at Bedford High School in Bedford, retiring in 1984.
Interment at Alto Reste Park.
