A Sudden Death
Alexander C. Steele, son of Mr and Mrs John Steele of Ramsay, died very suddenly on Friday of last week. The boy, who was eight years and nine months of age, was taken ill a couple of days before with acute indigestion, which resulted in his death. The sadness of the event was accentuated by the absence of Mr Steele, who had gone west only a few days previously. A telegram caught him at Regina, bearing the sad news, and he reached home on Monday's morning's Soo train. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon to the eighth line cemetery, and was largely attended. Rev C.H. Daly conducted the services and six little chums of the deceased acted as pallbearers.
