Anita Marie Harjo, 61, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, died there on Monday, November 30, 2020. She was born August 7, 1959 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Legus Harjo Sr. and Hattie Mae (Lindsey) Harjo. She graduated from Butner High School in 1977. She married Frank Harjo Sr. September 17, 1977. She was employed as a receptionist for the Sac and Fox Nation. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and church. She was a member of Little Quarsarty Baptist Church. She was survived by her husband Frank of the home; sons, Frank Harjo, Jr. and wife Katy of Coweta, Oklahoma and Jason Harjo of Shawnee; her brother, Legus Harjo, Jr. and wife Connie; sisters, Rita Maples and husband Todd, Janis Dawson and Sheila Bannon and husband Jeff; and grandchildren, Hunter Harjo, Holly Harjo and Hayden Harjo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Darrell Glenn Harjo. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 5 December, at Little Quarsarty Baptist Church, with Fred Lindsey and Eddie Lindsey officiating. Burial followed at the Lindsey Family Cemetery.
