Danny Lamar Mathis was born September 29, 1951 in Savannah, Georgia, to Lamar and Edna Mathis. He passed away on November 29, 2020, and is predeceased by his parents and other beloved family members.

Danny deeply loved his family and friends, his fur babies, Mopars, guitars, and big-truck driving; but most importantly, Danny loved Jesus. He will be greatly missed by those who survived him: his devoted wife of 37 years, Kathy; adored daughter Kelly Koralewski (Steve); and precious granddaughter Danielle (Dani) Faith Koralewski, better known as Skeeter to her granddaddy. He is also survived by his sisters, Sue Mathis and Dianne Foley; godson and nephew Bill Foley (Danielle); nephew David Kledzik (Christine); nieces Carla Sweeney (Michael), Shannon McLeod (Tommy), and Susan Cooke (Jeremy); many great-nephews and great-nieces; uncle George Howell (Sam); numerous cousins, and other special family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 15 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Alan McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
