On December 6th,2020, heaven gained another angel. Michael Allan Meyer,63, passed away in his home surrounded by his family due to a lung disease he courageously fought for the past 10 years.

Michael, the oldest of eleven, was born in Anaconda, Montana to Eugene & Mary Lou (Erickson) Meyer on February 22nd, 1957. 

Michael grew up in the Bisbee-Egeland ND area. He graduated from Egeland High School in 1976. After graduation, Michael moved to Tioga to work in the oil fields. He drove truck for several different trucking companies including owning his own truck for 2 years. In 1994, Michael joined the Rommesmo Company, where he worked for 25 years until retiring in 2019 from the Minnkota Windows division, due to his illness.

On May 23rd, 1992, Michael married his best friend & the love of his life, Maletta Klein. They raised two beautiful children, Brent & LaCrisha. From this union, Dawn, Brandon and four precious grandchildren joined their little family. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, watching NASCAR, the Vikings, woodworking, especially making cornhole boards during his retirement & playing games with his wife.

Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Maletta; his son, Brent (Dawn) Meyer; his daughter, LaCrisha (Brandon) Godbout; his grandchildren, Landen, Addisyn & Brody Meyer and Payton Godbout; his favorite mother-in-law Margaret Klein; brothers, Marlin (Li Jun), Mark (Laura), Merle, Karl (Li), & Ron (Cherry); sisters, Anita Sha, Mary Meyer, Toni (Toby) Mattern, Kathleen Graber; brothers in law, Keith Hendrickson and Jed (Angie) Klein, as well as several amazing nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, along with several Aunts & Uncles.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his sister Tina Hendrickson and father in law Roy (Shorty) Klein.

Masks are required and all other Covid-19 mandates will be followed..

Funeral:  11 a.m.  Friday, December 11, 2020, at Martin's Lutheran Church in Casselton.

Visitation:  An hour before the service.

Burial:  East Walle Lutheran Cemetery, rural Thompson, ND
