Michael “Rodney” McKee, 61, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020. He was born April 2, 1959 to Dorothy “Dot” McKee and the late John “J.R.” Mckee.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, December 12, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, 732 Indian Trail Fairview Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.

Rodney is survived by his mother, Dorothy “Dot” McKee; children, Michael “Tripp” McKee and Hannah McKee Autry (Steven); mother of his children, Donna Murphy; sisters, Robin Sossamon (Kenny) and Lisa McKee; nephew, Kyle and niece, Rachel.

Rodney was a family man. His loved his children, Tripp & Hannah, more than anything in the world. Watching his children grow up his nights were typically consumed with one of two things: the dirt track with Tripp or pageants with Hannah. In addition to his family Rodney loved his friends and had a love for everyone he met. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back, even if that meant he went without. As his friends knew him, Rockin-Rod was the hardest worker. He considered himself to be a jack of all trades.

Rodney was an avid car enthusiast and loved to work in his auto body shop. Rodney would cherish the times he got to travel with his dad and son for work.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Holland Funeral Service is serving the McKee Family, 806 Circle Drive, Monroe, NC 28112.
