Louise Elizabeth Viola May Potter, daughter of Alfred Matthew Weir and Edna Mae Clarke Weir, was born October 9, 1942 in Ft. McCloud Alberta, Canada and died December 4, 2020 at her home in Perry, Iowa at the age of 78. Louise’s family moved to Estherville, Iowa when she was 3 years old. Then they moved to Ida Grove where Louise attended school until her father got injured and she got a job. She followed her family to Storm Lake after that. On December 13, 1962 Louise and Jack Leo Potter were united in marriage in Yankton, South Dakota. The couple was blessed with 5 children: Jack Jr., Brian, Scott, Angie, and James. The family lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa for 18 years. Jack worked construction and Louise worked as a laborer and was a full time mother working various other jobs. In 1980 Louise and her family moved to Perry due to Jack’s ill health. Louise is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Edna, her husband Jack Leo Sr., her brother Rick Weir and her sister Linda Peterson. Louise is survived by her children: Jack Leo Potter Jr., Brian Richard Potter, Scott Alfred Potter, Angie Maureen Bailey (Steve) and James George Potter; her grandchildren: Cody James Scheuermann, Chelsie Ray Scheuermann, Brandon Scheuermann, Ronnie Daniels Landals and Ashly Overly; her great-grandchildren: Elliott Ann Scheuermann, Peyton Landals, Vanessa Overly, Michael Landals, Greyson Landals, Bennett Landals, Nathan Thomas Potter, Katherine Doris Potter, Poppie Lauree Ray, Lillian Ray and Emerson Sigler; her brothers George Weir and Brian Kent Weir.
