Lee Garner, 74, of Asheville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
Lee was born April 21, 1946 in Conroe, TX, to his late parents Jackson and Peggy Sue Garner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father who raised him, Jeff Cole.
After graduating high school, Lee enlisted in the US Army, serving in Vietnam, as well as in several other conflicts and countries. He retired as Sergeant Major after 24 years of service. Once he retired, Lee took time to enjoy life.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 30 years, Dorothy Bridges Garner of Asheville, NC; two children, Kevin Garner (Susan) of Nashville, TN and Lee Garner II (Sandra) of Clayton, GA; six grandchildren, Madison, McKenzie, Gary, Whitney, Amy and Jerry; two great grandchildren on the way; sister, Melody Smith (Dave) of TX; brother, Jack Garner (Kimberly) of TX; as well as several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 11:00 am at Madison Hills Cemetery.
