She worked as a lineman installing cable in Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas. Later worked as the office manager at multiple facilities for Allen Canning Company, based out of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Millie met and later married who she would call the love of her life, Gary Scott. Together earlier this year celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary.

Millie Loved quilting and supported the local American Legion Post and the Women's Auxiliary in Sapulpa, Blue Star Mothers of Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter, The Veteran's Hospital in Claremore as well as the Wounded Warrior's Project with arts and crafts and hand quilted quilts that they could raffle or sell for fund raiser activities.

Millie always had her hands making, sewing something. She loved to Hand Quilt, no machine quilting for me she always stated. She also enjoyed a trip to the local casino and every opportunity to go out for special restaurant dinner with Gary.
