Rosary for the Rev. Denis Chicoine, 57, is set for 7:30 p.m. today at Mount St. Michaels. Burial Mass will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount St. Michaels, with burial to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery at Mount St. Michaels. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Chicoine, who was born in New Bedford, Mass., died Thursday of cancer.
He had lived in Spokane for 22 years and served as superior general for Mary Immaculate Queen congregation. The Rev. Chicoine had served as a missionary priest throughout the United States and New Zealand.
He is survived by his father, Joseph Chicoine; one sister, Jean Chicoine; and one brother, Steve Chicoine.
