Charles Wayne Sims, 73 years of age, of Lancaster, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at his residence.
Charles was born in Walltown, Kentucky on June 3rd, 1947, son of Effie Marie Caudill Sims and the late Arley Sims. He was a retired barber, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Charles was survived by one son, Terry (and Shannon) Sims; his mother, Effie Caudill Sims; two grandchildren, Shelby Sims and Nicholas Sims; one sister, Ruth Ann Presley; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia "Patty" Henry Sims, who departed this life on December 27th, 2015; his father, Arley Sims, who departed this life on December 4th, 1994; and a brother-in-law, Gary Presley.
Private services were held in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Interment followed in the Dunham Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.
