Patricia Jean (Emans) Rice, 89, of Ossian, Indiana, formerly of Mendon and St. Marys, Ohio, passed away at her home on December 5, 2020.

She was born November 30, 1931, in Mendon, to Harry S. and Luella (Selanders) Emans.

On August 12, 1950, Pat married Homer H. Rice Jr., who preceded her in death on January 27, 2003.

A 1949 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, she had worked at Reynolds & Reynolds, Goodyear and Huffy's. Pat also had a ceramic shop, and enjoyed oil painting.

She is survived by a brother, Stanley Emans of Mendon, a son, Dennis (Ann) Rice of Celina, three daughters, Kim (Terry) Bollenbacher of Ossian, Tama Lu (Rickey A.) Smith of Berne, Indiana, and Connie Teeters of Geneva, Indiana, as well as 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Preceding her in death were a daughter, Pamela Kay Hahn, of Wapakoneta, Ohio, two brothers, Raymond (Marjorie) Emans and Alfred (Marilyn) Emans, and three sisters, Helen Fern (Anton) Schlueter, Rhonda (Roger) Eitzman, and Lillian Cleo (Sylvester) Moorman, and a sister-in-law, Janet Emans.

Visitation Hours will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Hamilton-Bethel Cemetery, near Mendon.

Those attending are required to wear masks, practice social distancing as much as possible, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.
