He was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Philippi, W.Va., the son of Edgar and Ethel Ware. David attended Warren G. Harding High School.
David had been employed as a diesel locomotive engineer on the railroad for Copperweld Steel Company, retiring after 36 years of service.
He married Jean F. Sisley on Aug. 3, 1956, in Kinsman and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage.
David enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, woodworking, NASCAR, and most of all, his family. He also enjoyed living in Wyoming for 10 years after his retirement.
He was a member of Old Erie Lodge No. 3, F&AM and was of the 32nd degree.
David is survived by his loving wife, Jean; his children, Madena St. Clair (Norm Boyd) of Cortland, Clayton Ware (Rachel Montler) of Leavittsburg and Jeanine (Jon) Silbaugh of Bazetta; his six grandchildren, Bryan (Steff) Cook, Elena (Andrew) Schmitt, Jordan St. Clair, Emilee Ware, Jensen Silbaugh and John Silbaugh; and one stepgrandchild, Carson Montler.
David was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
