Herman was the son of Herman Stevenson(Szczepaniak) Sr. and Alfreda Kaminski. At his death he was Managing Director at The paranormal Man Research Org. aka the Professor and "The Paranormal Man.com." He is most known for his paranormal investigations. His friends and family describe him a serious and dedicated researcher in the field who published numerous books. Herman helped others giving them what little he could give. He was honest and loyal. Herman was a life time resident of Baltimore City, Maryland.

Besides paranormal investigations his past jobs included: Traffic Electronic Maintenance Technician Level 2 at Department of Transportation, Lab Instructor at Baltimore City Community College, Chief engineer at James Brown Broadcasting, and Audio Engineer/Producer at United Broadcasting Company. He also studied at Universal Life Church Seminary.
