Laurens - John Thomas Abrams, 77, widower of Diane Blackwell Abrams, of Pitts Road, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home.
Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Joseph Preston and Jessie Mitchell Abrams. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was retired after 38 years at Monsanto and 7 years at Cryovac. He served as the Fire Marshall of the Coronaca Fire Department.
Surviving are his son, Rev. John T. Abrams, Jr. of Greer, two brothers, James Abrams (Frankie) of Spartanburg and Joe Abrams (Pat) of Ware Shoals, two sister-in-laws, Betty Abrams of Greenwood and Martha Barams of Laurens, and a grandson, John T. Abrams, III of Greensboro, NC. He was pre deceased by two brothers, Clarence and David Abrams.
Graveside services with Fireman’s Honors will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, December 14, 2020 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 Mask and Social Distancing will be required.
The family is at their respective homes. Friends may view between 1 and 4 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Parker-White Funeral Home..
