Born July 25, 1940 in Danville, VA, he was the son of the late Zachariah T. and Ethel Hopkins Adams. He was married to the late Frances Hairston Adams and later to Louise Mont-Adams, who survives.
In addition to his wife of the residence, survivors include two sons, Quinard Adams (Brenda) of Suffolk, VA and Delano Tucker (Malinda) of Woodbridge, VA; four sisters, Lottie Adams-Hayes and Rosylind Fitz (Jeremiah) both of Danville, VA, Pauline Couch (William) of Pleasantville, NJ and Barbara Spence of Galloway, NJ; one brother, Ronald W. Adams (Deborah) of Columbia, SC and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and former wife, he was predeceased by one daughter, Laurah Shaw.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with Pastor Quinard Adams, Eulogist. Interment with Military Honors by the US Marine Honor Guard will follow in Highland Burial Park. Due to the constraints of public gathering during this pandemic viewing will be held on the day of service and masks are required.
