Dvaughn Ladd, age 77, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Ladd was born July 9, 1943 in Wilkes County to William Ladd, Sr. and Minnie Mae Glass Ladd. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Moravian Falls and loved to play music, especially the guitar. Dvaughn was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Susan Robinson Ladd; sisters, Mary Waters, Alma Combs, Cloma Anderson; and brothers, James Ladd and Ralph Ladd.
He is survived by his brother, William B. Ladd and spouse Patricia of McGrady; sisters, Stella Parks, Erie Jennings and spouse Lonnie all of North Wilkesboro; Juliann Johnson and spouse Ernest of Wilkesboro; Blanche Minton and spouse Daniel, Marie Hendren all of North Wilkesboro.
A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. Mr. Ladd will lie in state at Miller Funeral Service from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Flowers will be accepted.
