Phyllis Davis French White, daughter of Lester “Cal” Davis and Daisy Fulks Davis, was born on October 3rd, 1935 on her family farm in Spokane, MO and departed this life on November 22nd, 2020 in her home surrounded by family.

She lived her entire life in Missouri except for a short time as a child when her family lived in the Colorado Mountain area near Durango where she rode her beloved horse to a little country school for two years. Phyllis graduated from the Marionville High School in May of 1953.

On June 28th, 1953 she married her high school sweetheart, David Eugene French. They had 34 years together before his death on October 18th, 1987. She was also united in marriage to J.D. White from Aurora, MO on October 9th, 1988. They were married 16 years before he passed away on April 19th, 2005.

Phyllis was a member of the Reavisville First Baptist Church. She previously taught Sunday School classes at the Marionville First Baptist Church and was the pianist and youth leader alongside her husband Dave at the Elsey Baptist Church for 15 years.

She was employed by the Vaisey Bristol Shoe Company in Marionville for 10 years and also spent time working at Erb’s Market, Earnhart’s Market, and Gambles, also in Marionville. Her final place of employment was the Aurora Wal-Mart where she worked in the office for 14 years.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Daisy Davis, her husbands, Dave French and J.D.White, and her sister, Marian Shipman.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Barre and husband Rick of Raleigh, North Carolina, grandchildren, Heather Hagler and husband Kevin of Crane, MO, Clayton Murphy and wife Andrea of Marionville MO, Jason Iseli of Noel, MO, Andy Iseli of Vinetta, OK, Susan Iseli of Neosho MO, Angela Tilton and husband Bill from Florida, Jennifer Ephron and husband Joe from Colorado, and Heather Crider and husband Mike from Michigan, a son-in-law Mike Murphy and wife Beth from Crane, MO, niece Carol Shipman from Arizona, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Reavisville First Baptist Church in Memory of Phyllis White.
