She was born in Redkey, Indiana to Dean & Lulu Bell (Reeder) Schubert who preceded her in death.
On October 16, 1949 she married Clifford Ross, who also preceded her in death.
Lucy was a member of Allen County Democratic Women’s Club, VFW Post 1275, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post #96, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 370 Women’s Auxiliary. She was the founding member of the Lima Chapter Red Hat Mommas.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jeff) Duff of Lima and Ruth (Jeff) Bache of Circleville, OH; one sister, Libby Imel of Southport, NC; two grandsons, Joel (Milli) Duff of Columbus, OH and Cory (Kaitlin) Duff of Lima; two great grandsons, Aiden Duff and Marcus Ashmore; and one nephew Mike (Barbara) Teeters of Southport, NC. Lucy leaves behind many dear friends especially, Mary Sockrider, Lori Sockrider, Lisa Rockhold, Sister Kevin Patrice and her card playing buddies Carol, Elaine, Rose, Kay, and Flo; many wonderful neighbors, Steve and Millie Gast, Nancy Bailey, Steve and Mary Spees, plus many children whom she baby-sat over the years, many of whom called her “Nana” just like her grandsons did. Lucy loved traveling, especially on Amtrak with her sister, Libby. They traveled to Alaska and all around the United States. Even though they were sisters they were best friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Schubert.
