Richard "Butch" Glenn Heiberg, 53, of Clinton, IL left this world Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL with his two sisters and wife by his side. He had been battling stage 4 liver failure, for over a year.
Richard was born October 11, 1967 in Clinton, IL to Eugene Irwin Heiberg and Mary Jane (Mitchell) Heiberg.
He married Sue Followell on January 15, they were married 33yrs.
Richard worked at Revere Ware for 9 years before following his dreams in becoming a truck driver. His three children, Amber (Followell) Reynolds, Hailey Heiberg and Richard Jacob Heiberg often rode with him and his wife.
Richard was “Papa Butch” to Bailey Sue McConnell, Mya Heiberg and Malayna Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Legend Taylor and Ruby Taylor. All children loved him and called him Pa Pa; his two sisters, Clara Heiberg and Angela Heiberg both of Clinton; his three nieces, Mandy Jo Thrasher, Megan Thrasher and Morgan Thrasher; and we have to remember his number one cat, stinky, who he thought the world of.
He loved anything outdoors, fishing, camping, working on cars with his son and daughter teaching them new things all the time. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and anyone who knew him was blessed to have him in their life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Hailey Michelle Heiberg; his grandson, Xander Reynolds; and his mother-in-law.
