Paul Dwain Patterson

Paul Dwain Patterson, 55, passed away at his mother’s home in Reynoldsburg on Oct. 6, 2020. He was born on Jan. 10, 1965 in a U.S. Army Hospital in Germany.
Growing up as a kid he lived in Breman, Ohio where he was a Cub Scout, played in little league baseball and for a short period, was part of the school performance group. As a young teen he moved to Reynoldsburg where he was a wrestler for his school and played in the school band. He was a 1983 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. As a young man Paul moved around a bit and worked as a cook, a carpenter and a variety of odd jobs. Along with his family, Paul shared a love of music and playing the guitar. He enjoyed watching OSU football, chess, cooking, fixing things, and playing video games.
Paul is survived by his parents, George Thomas and Janet Lou (Perkins) of Reynoldsburg OH; children, Thomas D. (Lauren) Patterson of Hilliard, OH and Shelby M (fiancé, Alex Turner) Patterson of Dayton, OH; siblings, Larry T. (Rita) Patterson of Columbus OH and Julie A. (James L.) Greene of Reynoldsburg, OH; grandchildren, Jamarcus Banks, Rowen Turner and Blaire Patterson who is on the way; niece and nephews, James A., David M., and Jacqueline A. Greene; and also many more extended family and friends.
Arrangements are a private service followed by a cremation under the care of Cotner Funeral Home. At a later time when it can be done safely, a memorial service and wake will be held. Instead of sending flowers, please consider a donation made in his name to your local school band program, local school sports program, the Boy Scouts or a local youth program.
