Marian Joyce Williams, 86 of Jonesboro, passed from this world to her heavenly home on December 2, 2020 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born July 24th, 1934 in Tyler, Missouri.

Most of her life was spent in Arkansas in the town of Bono. She met the love of her life, James (Jim) Williams and was married December 27th, 1953 at the Methodist Church of Bono. They enjoyed a blessed 56 years of married life. Following their wedding, they made their home in Pontiac, MI. They returned home to Bono in 1959.

She retired as a U.S. House of Representatives District Coordinator for the First Congressional District of Arkansas (22 years). She and husband, Jim, owned Williams and Associates Management and Consultants Business.

She was very active with her family, and the community. She was passionate about service with Altrusa (since 1972) and served in every committee and held every office in her club, including Governor. She and Jim have one daughter, Teresa, husband-Michael, two grandchildren Seth and Sarah, three great grandchildren James, Jax and Ty.

Joyce’s favorite things to do were travel, read, visit with her friends and attend horse shows with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Monday, December 7, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2pm with Brother Glen Putman officiating. Burial will follow at Herman Cemetery
