Karen lived in Guthrie all of her life. She graduated from Guthrie High School and worked as a registered nurse at Golden Age Nursing Home. She was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church. Her hobbies included gardening, crochet, and she loved Boston terriers.
Survivors include her son Mark Hamilton and wife Sharon of Guthrie, son Larry Hamilton of Oklahoma City, son Bill Hamilton and wife Lorri of Guthrie, and son Brad Hamilton and wife Tarina of Guthrie. Karen is also survived by nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Ray Hamilton in 1992, parents Dick and Bessie Smith, sister Shirlene Cutter, brother Billy Joe Smith, sister Barbara Nail Pierce, and brother Jack Smith.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Gary Maxwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2020 from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
