Wayne Lockey age 82 of Northwood, IA, formerly of Nashua, IA, died Monday, November 30, 2020, at MercyOne North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2020, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory - Olson Chapel in Nashua with Rev. Drew McHolm officiating. Interment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Nashua.

For those unable to attend you are invited to please join the family on Facebook Live at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2020, on the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home Facebook page. For those attending in person, it is strongly recommended to practice social distancing and wear face masks to both the funeral and visitation.

Wayne LeRoy Lockey was born November 6, 1938, in rural Nashua, IA, the son of George and Doris (Kellner) Lockey. He was a 1958 graduate from Nashua High School.

Wayne was married to Mary Jane Chase on April 17, 1959, in Bassett, IA.

Wayne spent the majority of his career working at John Deere in Waterloo, specializing as a machinist.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman, he would do about anything as long as he could be outside. He enjoyed hunting and spent time hunting deer, pheasant, turkey, and a variety of other wild game. Fishing was a passion and it didn’t matter if it was a small farm pond or the Mississippi river as long as Wayne could wet a line he felt like he was home.

Wayne is survived by three sons, Jon Lockey of Joice, IA, Kevin (Donna) Lockey of Northwood, IA, Robert (Carol) Lockey of New Hartford, IA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sophia and Evelyn Lockey of Nashua.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris Lockey; step-father, Lewis Dean; wife, Mary Jane Lockey in 2016; sister, Wanda Lockey; son, Bruce Lockey; two daughters, Georgette Jacobson and Angela Duran.
