Naomi L. Walker, 88, passed away at the Chambersburg Hospital on Monday, December 18, 2017. Born June 29, 1929, in Williamson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Alberta Anderson Stouffer.
A homemaker and mother, Mrs. Walker enjoyed caring for her family and traveling with her husband. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Williamson, the Chambersburg Garden Club, and Caledonia Cathedral in the Pines. A garden enthusiast, Mrs. Walker loved growing roses, she once had up to 68 different rose bushes on her property.
Surviving are two children, Cindy Koontz of Louisville, OH and Karen Costa (husband Michael) of Chambersburg; a daughter-in-law, Betsy Walker of Danville; eight grandchildren, Anna Greene, Andrew Koontz, Lucas and David Walker, Lisa Lieb, and Angela, Breanne, and Nicholas Costa; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Stouffer (wife Barbara) of GA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Walker; two sons, John and Michael Walker; and a sister, Betty Menhorn.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, where Pastor Alan Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Franklin County Sunday School Association, 7398 Hawk Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
