A private graveside service for Edward Lee Black, 77, will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow immediately following the service. Officiating will be Reverend Larry Williams. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Southside, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana.

Edward was born on November 8, 1943 to Hugh and Irene Savage Black in Vivian, Louisiana and passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Edward was a resident of Shreveport and a custom home builder for 55 years in Shreveport/Bossier and the surrounding area. He is survived by three children, Keely Chantale Black, Tiffany Black Rokohl and William E. Black; seven grandchildren, Emily Rokohl, Cavin Rokohl, Jackson Rokohl, Isabel Black, William E. Black Jr., Lily Black, Wesley Black, and numerous siblings and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Edward Black’s name be made to the local Red Cross to help with feeding families and those in need during the pandemic or to the national SPCA.
