Emily June Shaw, 98, of Bessemer, AL; and formerly of Canton passed away Monday November 30, 2020 at The Oaks on Parkwood in Bessemer.
She was born July 24, 1922 at Astoria the daughter of Bert and Eileen (Schuman) Parry. She married Don Shaw on October 26, 1939 at Lewistown. He died November 27, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are one son, Ronald (Queta) Shaw of Daphne, AL; two daughters, Phyllis (David) Donaldson of Helena, AL; and Sharon Medendorp, Crossville, TN; five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Emily had worked as a dietician at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was a member of Checkrow Community Church in Avon.
A private graveside service and burial was held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown in December of 2020. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Checkrow Community Church with Pastor Joe Olson officiating. Online condolences may be made at henrylange.com.
