Margaret Ellen Russell (nee Duermit), 66, of Cincinnati, died at 2:15 a.m., Friday, December 4, 2020 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph D. Russell; loving mother of Amy Blankenship (Bryan) and Jennifer McCormick (John); PROUD Grandmother of Robbie, Russell, Teegan, and Zaylee; dear sister of Mary Jean Murphy (David) and Elizabeth Douglas (Jerry); beloved daughter-in-law to Theresa Russell (Ciarlo); dear sister-in-law to Richard Russell (Judy) and Michael Russell (Lisa); proud aunt; dearest cousin to many.
Margaret was proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Jean Duermit (Hinterlong), father, James Edward Duermit, and father-in-law Douglas George Russell.
Margaret enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, going to local pubs, card nights, family events, tending to her vegetable garden, caring for others, and going to Anna Maria Island.
A celebration of life will be held outside in the spring. Details will follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hospice of Cincinnati, in her name, as they played a huge role helping her transition in peace.
