Rosa A. McKinney Atwood, 89, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away November 29, 1995 at Bear Creek Nursing Center in Hudson, Florida, after a long series of illnesses.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Atwood. Mr. and Mrs. Atwood moved to Spring Hill in 1968, after owning and successfully operating a tourist motel at Orange Lake, Florida for a number of years.

Mrs. Atwood was also predeceased by her parents, Garrison and Rachel Smith McKinney, of Point Pleasant, W. Va.; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her son, W. O. Hill; and a daughter, Lillian Lee Hill Doyle; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Spring Hill until her illnesses began.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Turner Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, Spring Hill, Florida.

Graveside services will be held at the Grace Memorial Gardens, Hudson, Florida, at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Steven Zahare officiating.
