Susan Jane Jackson (nee Harte), 76, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Beloved wife of Charles “Chuck” Jackson for over 57 years. Loving mother of Robert (Krista), William “Will” (Laurie), and Stephen “Steve” (Marie) Jackson; cherished grandmother of Zach, Nichole, Ben, Lexie, Delanie, Cooper, Blake, and Cole; great-grandmother of Brylan, Holden, Mila, and Lucas; dear sister of Mary E. Norton; dear aunt of Stacy (John) Browning, Pam (Tony) Wilson, Scott (Lisa) Lane; dear sister-in-law of Doris Lane, Bill (Donna) Jackson, and Lanny (Vicky) Jackson, and Wilma Jackson; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth (nee Schanuel) Harte; her sister, Sarah “Sally” Stevenson; two grandchildren, Evan and Alyssa, and her brothers-in-law, Clarence “Wimp” Stevenson, Paul Jackson Jr., and Jeff Lane.
Susan enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to the garden and growing flowers. She was a talented cook and baker, her cakes were always beautifully decorated. Susan loved her family and devoted her life to them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions appreciated to the Humane Society of Missouri or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at a later date.
