Douglas J. Anderson Sr.   Jan. 14, 1948 - May 14, 2014

Mr. Douglas J. Anderson Sr. passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home in Kernersville after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Doug was born January 14, 1948 to the late Hayden Willard and Irene Boger Anderson of Davie County. Doug is survived by his wife of 20 years Brenda B. Anderson, son Jamie Anderson and wife Meredith of Lexington, daughter Missie Anderson of Hamptonville, his brother Arnold Anderson of Davie County, his aunt Joyce Goodman of Winston-Salem and many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his sister Judy Brinkley of Welcome.

Doug was a member of the West Kernersville congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Doug was a great businessman and entrepreneur who owned and operated several businesses over his lifetime. The latest being the on-site automotive paint repair company Auto Color Match that he founded in 1995. Doug enjoyed sports and was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing many rounds with his son and his friends. Doug also enjoyed his home in Myrtle Beach where he was a big part of the Barefoot community.

Doug was a larger than life kind of guy that touched many lives and made many, many friends. Very rarely would you see him without his faithful companion "Ginny" a beautiful West Highland Terrier. Doug will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
