Billy Wayne Cox, 76, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020.

He was born March 8, 1944 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Millard and Helen Cox.

Billy loved his family and was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as teacher for the Men's Sunday School Class for many years. He enjoyed working in Disaster Relief and frequently volunteered for mission work. He willingly served in his community wherever there was a need.

Billy worked for the Eastman Company for 35 years. He began at Tennessee Eastman and moved to Arkansas Eastman in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cox, of 57 years; two sons, Robbie Cox (Kristi) of Batesville and Randy Cox (Christy) of Nashville, Tennessee; three brothers, Don Cox (Margie) of Gray, Tennessee, Jimmy Cox of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Eddie Cox (Charlene) of Batesville; one sister, Kay Cross (Ivan) of Gray, Tennessee; and four grandchildren, Tyler Cox and Cara Cox of Rogers, Arkansas and Hannah Cox and Hayden Cox of Batesville, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Helen Cox.

Pallbearers are Robbie Cox, Randy Cox, Hayden Cox, Tyler Cox, Hannah Cox, Cara Cox, Sean Forehand, and Lance Wehrung. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Sandage, Norm O'Brien, Norman Terrell, Gary Surles, Dennis Martin, Bill Bobrosky, Bill Allen, Jim Kilgore, Jim McVay, and Curtis Neeley.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to AR Hospice for excellent care and support.

A drive-in funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 1, 2020 on the Eagle Mountain property of First Baptist Church. The property is located across from Eagle Mountain Elementary School. Services will be handled by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville with Bro. Eddie Cox and Bro. Stacy Reed will be officiating.

Memorials may be made in Billy's honor to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 610 E. Main Street, Batesville, AR 72501.
