On November 28, 2020, the windows of heaven swung open and called our beloved Norma Virginia White to join the heavenly host. She was born on December 16, 1931, the first of two children born to the late Willie and Gertrude Taylor. She was also predeceased by her sister, Louise Martin.
Her loving smile and gentle demeanor will forever be missed. We all loved her, but God loved her more. To God be the glory.
Norma leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband of 61 years, Roosevelt M. White; son, Kevin P. White Sr.; grandson, Kevin Jr; and niece, Leslie Williams; bonded sister, Patricia Fish and family; dear friends, Florence Piggott, Ophelia Ruddley, Cleo Mungin, and Doris Randall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Whiting’s Chapel. Interment to follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance with face coverings and social distancing being required. Facebook Livestream will be available for this service. Mrs. White may be viewed from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
