Carson, Athena J. Whitehall Athena Jean Carson, 54, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017. Athena was born March 29, 1963, the daughter of Paul and Priscilla Carson. Athena worked as a supervisor at the Slocum Street Moka House. She was extremely dedicated to her "Moka family" and her cats. She also enjoyed fishing, Saturday night bonfires, antiques and helping others. She was a caring, angelic, and very humble, giving person. She will be deeply missed. Athena is survived by her parents, Paul (Priscilla) Carson; brother, Craig Carson; sisters, Christine (Dale) Kohnke and Janice (Ken) Visger; 6 nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many very dear friends. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents. Memorial services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 S. Mears Ave. 49461. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Slocum Street Moka House.
