James K. Sargent, III, 21, of Crooked Street, Broadalbin passed away Tuesday December 1, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Red Bank, NJ on April 14, 1999 a son of James and Marjorie Lockwood Sargent and moved to Broadalbin as a child.

Jimmy was a 2017 graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School and continued his higher education in New York and New Jersey.

He returned to Broadalbin earlier this year due to illness.

Jimmy was employed at Shop Rite in West Long Branch.

He was a huge sports fan and was an avid fan of the NY Mets and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed sports video games. Mostly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, James K. Sargent, Sr.

Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Sargent of Broadalbin; his father, James K. Sargent, Jr. of Eatontown, NJ; a brother, Daniel P. Sargent of Broadalbin; his maternal grandfather, David Lockwood of Amsterdam; his maternal grandmother, Kathryn (David) Arnold of West Charlton; his paternal grandmother, Marilyn Sargent of West Long Branch, NJ; two uncles, Kevin Sargent and Paul Lockwood; an aunt, Melissa (Ed) Braniff; and two cousins, Liam and Meghan Braniff. In addition, Jimmy cherished his extended family and many friends.
